Edit The Day (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website edittheday.com and the Edit The Day service. We are based in Australia. For any privacy enquiries, contact us at hello@edittheday.com.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following information:

  • —Guest names. First names provided voluntarily by guests when uploading content.
  • —Photos and videos. Media files uploaded by guests through the guest upload page.
  • —Couple email address. The email address of the event owner used to log in and receive notifications.
  • —Event information. Couple names, wedding date, and event preferences.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Edit The Day service:

  • —To store and organise guest-uploaded media files.
  • —To create AI-edited highlight reels from uploaded photos and videos.
  • —To send you notifications when your reel is ready.
  • —To provide you with access to your event dashboard.

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Storage duration

Your files and event data are stored for the duration of your plan:

  • —Starter plan: 30 days from your wedding date.
  • —Pro plan: 60 days from your wedding date.
  • —Premium plan: 90 days from your wedding date.

After this period, all files and personal data are permanently deleted from our systems. We recommend downloading all media before your storage period expires.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • —Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • —Request deletion of your data at any time before the automatic deletion date.
  • —Request correction of inaccurate data.

6. Third-party services

We use Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) to store uploaded files, Supabase for database hosting, and Resend for email delivery. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. All data is stored in Australia or the United States.

7. Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia, and the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
