Terms of Service

1. Service description

Edit The Day (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a platform that allows wedding guests to upload photos and videos via a QR code, which are then processed using artificial intelligence to create highlight reels (“Reels”) for the event organisers (“you”). By purchasing an event and using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. AI processing consent

By using Edit The Day, you and your guests agree that:

• —All uploaded photos and videos may be processed by our AI systems to analyse quality, select clips, and assemble Reels.
• —Guest names provided at upload may be used to organise and label content.
• —You are responsible for ensuring that all guests who upload content have consented to its use in creating a Reel.
• —Our consent checkbox on the upload page is provided as a convenience, but ultimate responsibility for obtaining consent lies with you as the event organiser.

3. Payment and refunds

Edit The Day operates on a one-time payment per event. The following refund policy applies:

• —Before reel generation begins: A full refund is available upon request.
• —After reel generation starts: No refunds are available once processing of your Reel has commenced, as computational resources have been expended on your behalf.
• —Technical failures: If we are unable to deliver your Reel due to a technical error on our part, we will offer a full refund or re-generation at our discretion.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Edit The Day to upload, store, or process:

• —Content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
• —Content depicting nudity, violence, or other inappropriate material.
• —Content for which you do not have the right to share or process.
• —Content featuring minors in a manner that is not appropriate for a family wedding context.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate acceptable use policies.

5. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of all photos and videos uploaded through Edit The Day. By using our service, you grant us a limited licence to process, store, and transform your content solely for the purpose of creating your Reel. We do not claim any ownership over your content, and will not use it for any purpose beyond delivering the service you have purchased.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

• —Edit The Day is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
• —We are not liable for any loss of uploaded content due to technical failures beyond our control.
• —Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for your event.
• —We strongly recommend downloading all your media files before your storage period expires. We are not liable for data loss after the storage period ends.

7. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
